We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our prestigious lifestyle hotel in Phoenix, AZ. The General Manager will drive profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee development, ensuring the hotel's success while maintaining its integrity.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage all hotel operations including rooms, food and beverage, spa services, and event management.
- Guest Interaction: Ensure all guest interactions adhere to luxury standards, particularly with high-profile guests.
- Strategic Meetings: Lead daily meetings with the sales team to refine strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular tours to maintain high standards across all services.
- Team Management: Host weekly meetings to align sales and operations, and provide training on service delivery.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, and monthly forecasting with department heads.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all hotel operations comply with policies and safety regulations.
- Sales Initiatives: Actively participate in sales efforts and client meetings.
- Food and Beverage Leadership: Enhance food and beverage services to offer exceptional dining experiences.
- Cost Control: Implement measures to maximize profitability in food and beverage operations.
- Staff Development: Mentor staff to ensure top-notch service and culinary excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 6 years in hotel management, with a focus on luxury and lifestyle hotels.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management preferred; significant experience may substitute.
- Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in managing upscale hotel restaurants, bars, and event services.
- Financial Acumen: Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in luxury hotel settings.
- Leadership: Proven ability to develop successful teams in a luxury hotel environment.
- Communication: Excellent skills in managing guest relations and team interactions.
- Decision Making: Capable of quick decision-making in high-pressure situations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows operating systems and standard office software.
