Associate Attorney - First-Party Property Insurance Litigation

The Opportunity
As part of a highly respected litigation practice, you will handle sophisticated first-party property insurance matters and work closely with experienced attorneys on all stages of litigation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and analyzing insurance claims
- Conducting legal research and case analysis
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Managing discovery and document review
- Taking and defending depositions
- Attending court hearings and proceedings
- Assisting with coverage analysis and dispute resolution
- Collaborating with clients and colleagues on case strategy
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance and litigation
- Strong litigation and case management skills
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Outstanding oral advocacy and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- The drive to learn, develop, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility to practice in New York
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, attorneys may be eligible for:
- Monthly Timekeeping Bonus
- Annual Performance Bonus
Hybrid Working
This position offers a flexible hybrid working model. Associates are expected to work at least two days per week in the New York City office, with the opportunity to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
