MEP Superintendent
We are currently working with a leading player in the construction industry, who ranks among the Top 50 U.S. General Contractors in the US. They are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee coordination for a large-scale Data Centre new build project in Miami. This role/project has the potential to extend for several years. Candidates with a trades background or technical qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Lead MEP trade coordination for all aspects of the project, including BIM modelling.
- Engage in ongoing coordination with the design team and subcontractors to finalize design, coordinate submittals, and manage RFIs for MEP trades.
- Collaborate with other project staff for the implementation of MEP trade installation.
- Coordinate Building Management System (BMS) integration between the design team, owner’s BMS Trade Manager, and subcontractors.
- Monitor Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) fabrication and delivery, including submittal coordination with the BIM model.
- Coordinate Crane Pick Plans and rigging of OFE.
- Manage the creation, review, and submission of Method of Procedures (MOP) to Operations Staff.
- Conduct QA/QC for all MEP trades and troubleshoot issues in the field.
- Coordinate with the Commissioning Agent for the startup of OFE and assist in scheduling commissioning activities.
- Create and close out punch lists and update the BIM model accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent or Coordinator, preferably in data center construction or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership in BIM modelling and MEP trade coordination.
- Ability to work closely with design teams, subcontractors, and project staff.
- Experience in BMS coordination and understanding of OFE processes.
- Proficient in creating and managing Crane Pick Plans and MOPs.
- Demonstrated QA/QC expertise for MEP trades.
- Capable of effective troubleshooting and issue resolution in the field.
- Experience coordinating with Commissioning Agents and managing commissioning schedules.
- Familiarity with punch list creation and BIM model updates
