Construction Superintendent - Dallas / Austin

We are currently recruiting for a leading commercial construction management company renowned for its expertise in interior fitout projects across diverse industries in Texas. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking seasoned professionals to join their team as Superintendents. This role is based in Dallas but candidates based in Austin or Houston are also ideal as this role will involve working on future Texas based projects. 

Position Overview:
As a Superintendent specializing in interior fitout construction projects for retail environments, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in interior fitout projects within the retail or hospitality sector, will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead all aspects from planning to resource allocation.
  • On-Site Supervision: Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Guide on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular updates and address concerns.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce highest workmanship and project quality.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and optimize project expenses.
  • Schedule Adherence: Ensure project timeline compliance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project records.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 5-15 years Superintendent experience in commercial construction, focusing on retail.
  • Proven track record managing multiple interior fitout projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods and codes.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
