We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for a litigation professional with strong defense experience, excellent judgment, and a passion for advocacy in the healthcare space.
Qualifications & Experience
✅ Litigation Experience:
10+ years of experience handling medical malpractice defense or healthcare-related litigation.
✅ Relevant Background:
Experience representing hospitals, physicians, long‑term care facilities, or other healthcare providers is highly preferred.
Prior work in complex injury claims, wrongful death matters, and professional liability defense is a plus.
Core Legal Skills
✔ Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
✔ Strong written and oral advocacy
✔ Experience with motion practice, depositions, expert witness preparation, and trial preparation
✔ Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently while collaborating with a supportive team
Education & Licensure
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in the applicable state
- Federal court admission (or eligibility) preferred
Technology Proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Skilled in legal research tools such as Westlaw
- Familiarity with time-entry, case management, and billing software
