Manufacturing Mechanical Project Engineer

Salary: $84,000 - $100,000

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Mechanical Project Engineer to lead engineering projects from concept to completion, aligning with our company's strategic goals. This role involves developing and integrating advanced automation systems and robotics to enhance production efficiency and flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing context, using methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing to drive performance improvements.

Day-to-day of the role:

Lead mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and performance goals.
Develop and integrate automation systems and robotics to improve production speed, precision, and flexibility.
Implement mechanical improvements based on root cause analysis to enhance system performance.
Create detailed project plans, including technical specifications, resource allocation, and timelines for system implementation.
Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they function correctly and meet validation standards.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, such as design calculations, installation manuals, and maintenance guides.
Maintain detailed project records, including engineering change orders (ECOs), testing protocols, and performance reports.
Provide regular updates on project progress, technical challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
Evaluate emerging technologies and mechanical innovations to continuously improve manufacturing systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
Experience with automation, robotics, and control systems integration.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing or production environment.
Physical ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds without restrictions.
