Principal Electrical Engineer

We are on the lookout for a visionary Principal Electrical Engineer with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in successful project leadership. As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and leadership within our Building Environments Group, playing a pivotal role in driving successful outcomes and ensuring project objectives are met.

Day to Day of the role:

• Lead project teams and the broader group to drive successful outcomes and ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Mentor and coach colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and meaningful delegation within the team.
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other team members to deliver world-class solutions.
• Oversee the production of detailed design drawings, specifications, site observation reports, schedules, and other project deliverables.
• Build and sustain productive client relationships, proactively addressing client needs and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Direct multiple projects across the group, ensuring successful implementation of engineering solutions and financial success.
• Maintain and develop the highest standards of technical quality, staying at the forefront of industry advancements and best practices.
• Ensure engineering practices and policies align with the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes.
• Contribute to delivering profitable projects, monitoring financial performance, resourcing, and expenditure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 15+ years of extensive experience in Electrical Engineering design within the building services and construction industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Thorough understanding of building codes and mechanical design principles.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery across various sectors and regions.
• Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems and good knowledge of other MEP building systems.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software like Revit and analysis tools such as SKM and SAM.
• Proven experience in a leadership capacity within an MEP Engineering Consultancy or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
• LEED AP accreditation (preferred).
