QSR General Manager

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead the coordination and planning of everyday business operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a team builder who provides support and direction to ensure smooth operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Follow training programs to learn and train new skills, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Communicate with supervisors for additional training guidance as needed.
  • Complete required operational checks to address areas of concern.
  • Organize shift schedules for team members, monitoring attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure team members work together to prepare menu items while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
  • Conduct daily restaurant cleanliness tasks, including clearing tables, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing high touch-point areas.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally to resolve problems according to restaurant policy.
  • Maintain a neat appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to uniform policy.
  • Provide direction, supervision, and feedback to maintain high productivity and team morale.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, maintenance, and other operational functions.
  • Develop strategies for workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
  • Plan, organize, and implement daily operational routines with the management team.
  • Ensure all administrative duties and paperwork are completed daily.
  • Establish an environment of trust for honest, open, and direct communication.
  • Role model and set a positive example in all aspects of business and personnel practices.
  • Follow guidelines for food and cash controls, and maintain restaurant costs efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and fluent in English.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
  • Certification in all stations and management positions following the training program.
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift 50 - 75 lbs.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, organization, planning, time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
