We are collaborating with a leading company in the field of underground and heavy civil construction to recruit a Civil/Structural Engineer. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in civil/structural engineering, with an emphasis on underground construction and mining.
Day to Day of the Role:
Design civil/structural systems, structures, and components for diverse projects.
Modify existing equipment, systems, structures, and components as needed.
Provide technical support across various divisions.
Assist with project planning and technical quotes for systems, structures, and components.
Ensure all civil/structural systems, structures, and components meet safety standards.
Address site-based requests for information, including analysis and recommendations.
Prepare and present project documentation, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Travel to project sites as required to provide oversight and assistance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably related to underground construction and/or mining.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to become licensed within 2 years.
Experience in designing reinforced concrete structures and steel structures.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor software is preferred.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software is also preferred.
