Scheduler - Facilities

Job Description

Our client, a department of local city government, is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join their team full-time.  This is a hybrid, hourly role with benefits.  Pay range is $33-42/hr.

The ideal candidate for this role must possess experience and qualifications to effectively perform the following duties:

- Organize and schedule preventative, corrective activities, and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate and review contracts and associated documents.
- Evaluate work performances against standards to establish, uphold, and enhance maintenance and project standards.
- Monitor project status and provide reports to management.
- Plan projects by determining crew size, composition, work hours, and equipment requirements.
- Administer on-call programs.
- Develop work order schedules, control records, and post schedules.
- Communicate project and/or program information to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure compliance with City and other regulatory agency requirements and policies.
- Confer with project managers, engineers, and contractors to discuss designs.
- Coordinate the procurement process for maintenance programs.

 

**Education and/or Equivalent Experience:**

- High School graduation or equivalent, plus three years of experience in a field related to electric utility line or power plant construction and maintenance.
OR
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in construction or maintenance activities, with three years involving planning, coordination, and scheduling of Utility construction projects.

 

**Additional Information:**

- This position falls under Essential Personnel with the City of Austin, requiring staff to work during emergencies or adverse weather conditions, as scheduled or, in some cases, when not scheduled, to ensure the continuity of key operations.
- Work hours may extend beyond regular schedules, including after hours, holidays, weekends, and on-call shifts, and may be subject to change based on departmental needs.
- The employee may be required to work additional hours beyond the regular work schedule.
