Sales Account Manager

Location: Hybrid remote in Norfolk, VA
Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join a global market leader in maritime, offshore, and fire safety. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing excellent customer relationships with all existing and potential customers, providing informative, efficient, and friendly service. This role is ideal for a team player who can interact effectively with all departments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop, promote, and manage sales in the North East Territory for the Defense Division, including a range of products such as life rafts, PPE, Boats & Davits
  • Responsible for meeting annual budgets, including revenue and profitability targets for the customer portfolio.
  • Liaise with the Service Manager to support the delivery of territory products and services.
  • Assist with credit and collections.
  • Promote sales of the company’s entire product range to primary defense customers.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with service stations.
  • Participate in monthly Sales meetings to follow up on KPIs and visits according to the Sales excellence process.
  • Provide feedback on data analysis and CRM to the Sales Director.
  • Engage with customers to provide valued propositions under products and concepts like Ship Owner Agreements (SOA).
  • Undertake additional tasks as necessary to benefit the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in direct sales, with at least 3 years preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience in the maritime, offshore, or fire safety industry is a plus.
