General Manager

We are seeking a General Manager to lead unit-level operations within our dynamic organization. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient restaurant operations and delivering premium guest experience. The General Manager will have direct oversight of all restaurant functions and play a primary role in developing a strong hospitality culture. We expect all our leaders to lead by example, promote a strong positive culture, and demonstrate an eagerness to grow and develop with our company.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
People Management:
- Engage with guests to ensure a welcoming, positive dining experience and prioritize face-to-face interactions.
- Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training processes, developing a strong service-focused team.
- Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, and support to both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams.
- Support marketing and promotions to drive sales through local outreach and events.
Operations Management:
- Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage contracts and inventory.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement structured processes for team accountability and operational efficiency.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for profitability.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Analyze key financial metrics such as Sales Per Labor Hour (SPLH) to drive operational effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ full operations experience in the hospitality sector, including hiring, firing, purchasing, and financial management.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of restaurant operations.
- Food Safety Manager Certification (ServSafe) required.
- Proficiency in basic kitchen skills and technology platforms like MS Office and web-based applications.
- Ability to work early mornings and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Basic understanding of Spanish preferred but not essential.
- Currently employed with 1.5 - 2 years’ experience in breakfast or all-day cafe dining operations.
